Let's first obtain the following material.

Step 1:

Measure a 20cm piece of thread and cut it out.

Step 2:

Similarly cut three more pieces in the same manner.

Step 3:

Let's tie these threads one by one to each one of the four corners of the cloth.

Step 4:

Next, let's take a pencil and tie all these four (free ends) of the threads to it.

Voila! We're ready to now test our parachute.
